The route would take you to Laxman Jhula and Shyanachatti on the way to Janki Chatti, from where you walk on foot to Yamunotri or hire a pony. Pilgrims have a Darshan at Yamunaji temple and bathe in the hot sulphur springs. Then you go on to Uttar Kashi and have a Darshan at Lord Kashi Vishwanath Temple and arrive at Gangotri to offer prayers at the temple of Gangotri mata. The next leg of the journey is a trip to Kedarnath, one of the holiest of places and the site of the 12 Jyotirlingas. Pilgrims usually bathe in the Mandakani River before going up to the Kedarnath temple to worship Lord Shiva. Your journey may take you to Gupt Kashi or you may go straight onwards to Badrinath, offer prayers for your ancestors, bathe in the sulphur water springs and worship at the revered Badrinath temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
