Best Time to Visit Andaman Nicobar Islands
The ideal time to enjoy Andaman Nicobar tourism is October to March, and December to March is the driest part of it. The temperature stays almost the same all year, so rainfall decides how good your trip will be. Here is a detailed overview of the best time to visit Andaman and Nicobar -
Peak Months
October to March (Winter)
Temperature-23°C to 30°C
These months are the best to explore the beauty of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The weather is pleasant for sightseeing. October and November still get some showers, while December to March stays mostly dry. During these months you will be able to enjoy festivals like Durga Puja, Dussehra, Diwali (Oct-Nov), Christmas, New Year (Dec-Jan) and the Island Tourism Festival (usually in January). It is the best time to enjoy sightseeing, water sports, island hopping, and beach activities.
Shoulder Season
April to May (Summer)
Temperature-25°C to 33°C
April is still a good month for sightseeing. It is hot and humid but the sea is clear, so water sports, scuba diving and market visits work well. Rain starts increasing in May. Those who are budget conscious can plan their visit during these months. No notable festivals are celebrated in these months.
Off Season
June-September (Monsoon)
Temperature-24°C to 30°C
Heavy rainfall and strong winds make these months unfavorable to explore Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Ferries and water sports are often stopped due to rough sea, so your travel plans can get disrupted. But if you love lush green surroundings, you can still visit during these months. The rainfall makes the forests fresh and green, and you will get accommodation at a cheaper price. Keep one extra day in your plan if you travel in monsoon.
