7:00 Am – departure from the Sahastradhara airport at Dehradun. Be sure to report at the helipad on time in order to avoid some unnecessary hassle.
8:00 Am – you will be reaching Harsil after 1 hour of travelling. From Harsil you will be immediately assisted for darshan at the Gangotri Dham where you will be receiving a priority darshan Pass.
11:00 Am – You will then leave Harsil and make your way to the helipad at Dehradun. You will be given a limited time of 3.5 to 4 hours to complete your darshan rituals and explore some nearby places of tourist interest.
12 Noon – after completing an hour of journey you will be finally reaching the Sahastradhara airport at Dehradun which will mark the end of your journey with us.

Taking my elderly parents to Gangotri seemed impossible due to the long road journey, but this same-day chopper service made it completely hassle-free. We flew from Sahastradhara helipad in Dehradun to Harsil helipad in around 30 minutes. The scenic flight over snow-peaks was mesmerizing. From Harsil, local cab transport took us smoothly to Gangotri temple for VIP darshan. Bhagirathi river flowing beside the temple looked so divine. The weather was crisp and chilly. An unforgettable spiritual day. The flight experience above the Himalayas was surreal. Reaching Gangotri shrine directly from Dehradun saved us at least 2 days of mountain driving. We booked this same-day heli tour during our Char Dham segment. Standing near the Bhagirathi river at Gangotri temple felt deeply spiritual, and the journey from Dehradun to Harsil was well organized. We had enough time for puja and also enjoyed the pleasant weather in Harsil. The local dry fruits and fresh apples were a nice bonus. The flight view of the Garhwal Himalayas was unforgettable, and reaching Gangotri Dham so quickly from Dehradun was definitely convenient. Harsil valley was peaceful, and the darshan felt calm and meaningful. However, the limited washroom facilities near the helipad were inconvenient, especially for a long day trip. The overall schedule also felt a little rushed, leaving very little time to relax in Harsil. The scenery was beautiful, but the basic facilities and tight pace made the experience less comfortable than expected.
