However, if you are celebrating your honeymoon during the winter and want to experience some royalty as a couple, there is no better place to go than Rajasthan. Rajasthan, one of India's most romantic honeymoon destinations, has many charming places offering a variety of romantic things to do, attractions to visit, and places to stay.
Other than winter, the monsoon season is the best time to visit Rajasthan. The honeymoon months of July to September (Monsoon) are ideal, when the arid and barren landscape transforms into a lush green haven.
The ruins of the Indus Valley civilisation at Kalibangan and Balathal, the Dilwara Temples, a Jain pilgrimage site at Rajasthan's only hill station, Mount Abu, in the ancient Aravalli mountain range and eastern Rajasthan, and the Keoladeo National Park of Bharatpur, a World Heritage Site, are among its major attractions.
Rajasthani cuisine is influenced by the state's rich heritage and arid climate. Their cuisine is distinguished by the scarcity of fresh fruits and vegetables. Beans, lentils, gramme flour, corn, barley, millet, bajra, bread, and dairy products are all common ingredients (esp. Ghee).
Rajasthani women traditionally wear Ghagra, Choli (also known as Kanchli or Kurti), and Odhni. The Ghagra is a full-length, embroidered and pleated skirt available in a wide range of colours, prints, and fabrics such as silk, cotton, georgette, and crêpe.
