My father wanted to visit Kashi since years and we finally managed this trip together. Seeing him do the aarti at the ghat with tears in his eyes, that moment I will never forget. The whole two days were planned nicely, no rushing around unnecessarily. Sarnath visit on day two was calm and educational, learned quite a bit about Buddha's first sermon there which none of us knew before. Hotel stay was comfortable for senior citizens too since it wasn't too far from main attractions. Overall a trip that meant a lot to our family, thank you for making it smooth.
Mera aur mere pati ka anniversary trip tha yeh, aur humne socha bhi nahi tha ki Varanasi itna khoobsurat anubhav dega. Shaam ki Ganga aarti dekhte waqt dono chup ho gaye the, itna acha mahaul tha. Agle din Sarnath gaye jahan Ashoka pillar aur stupa dekhkar itihaas ka ek naya pehlu samajh aaya. Poora trip well organised tha, koi confusion nahi hua kahi bhi. bahut hi memorable trip raha hum dono ke liye, definitely recommend karenge couples ko.
Travelled with my elderly parents and this trip gave them exactly the peace they were looking for. Kashi Vishwanath darshan was arranged smoothly without much waiting which was a huge relief given my parents age. The boat ride was gentle and safe, they enjoyed it thoroughly. Sarnath visit on the second day was less tiring since it involves more walking around open spaces rather than crowded lanes, worked well for us. Weather was pleasant throughout, not too hot. This was a fulfilling trip and I am glad we chose these two days for it.

Bahut hi accha experience raha yeh trip. Kashi Vishwanath temple ke darshan subah subah kiye aur bheed kam thi jo hamare liye achha raha. Sarnath jaate waqt raasta thoda dusty tha lekin jab pahunche to jo shanti mili wahan uska alag hi feel tha. Museum bhi dekha, Buddha ki murti kaafi impressive lagi. Ganga aarti shaam ko dashashwamedh ghat par dekhi, bhai woh to bas dekhne wali cheez hai, words mein express nahi ho sakta. Vehicle comfortable tha poore trip mein. Khaana bhi local dhaba se try kiya, chaat aur lassi dono maza aa gaya. Bas ek din aur milta to aur ghoom lete but overall paisa vasool trip tha.
Solo trip to Varanasi was something I wanted to do for a long time and I am glad I finally did it. The city has a raw honesty to it, nothing feels curated or fake. Walked along the ghats in the evening, watched the aarti, just sat there for almost an hour doing nothing but observing people. Sarnath the next day gave a very different, quieter energy, good place to just breathe and think. Being alone as a woman I did feel safe throughout since the areas we covered were well managed. Food options were plenty though I stuck to simple thali meals. If I had to nitpick, the early morning boat ride was a bit cold, could carry a shawl for that. Otherwise a trip I will remember for a long time.
Went with three college friends for a quick spiritual cum sightseeing trip and it turned out better than expected. Varanasi at night is a different vibe altogether, the ghats lit up with diyas during the aarti, we just stood there clicking pictures and taking it all in. Next day at Sarnath was more low key, walked around the ruins and the museum, learned a good bit of history none of us knew. Vehicle used for travel was comfortable enough for the short distance. Only complaint, if you can call it that, is the heavy crowd near the main temple during evening hours. Food was great though, tried multiple street snacks and none disappointed. Good trip overall for friends looking for something different.
This was our first trip to North India, and Varanasi was a very different experience for us. The ghats, temple bells, and busy lanes were interesting but also felt a bit overwhelming at times. Sarnath was peaceful and a nice change, but the schedule felt rushed and we missed exploring more places. Weather was pleasant, and food was decent though we preferred simple vegetarian meals. Overall, it was a unique trip but could have been more enjoyable with extra time.
The trip was short and covered the main places, but overall it did not feel as enjoyable as I had expected. The evening aarti at the ghats was beautiful, and Sarnath was a peaceful place to visit, but the limited time made the experience feel a little rushed. The morning fog caused some delay in starting the day, and with only two days available, we felt we could not spend enough time at each place. The crowds around the ghats also made moving around a bit tiring. Food experiences like trying Banarasi paan were nice, but the overall trip felt incomplete and I wished we had more time to explore the city at a relaxed pace. It was a decent visit, but not the memorable getaway I was hoping for.
Quick two day trip, went in without much expectation and came back genuinely impressed by Varanasi. The ghats early morning have this strange calmness before the crowd builds up, really worth waking up for. Sarnath sightseeing was informative, the guide explained the significance of Buddha's first teaching there which added real value to just walking around ruins. Heat during afternoon hours was a bit much for this time of year so carrying water was necessary. Local food, especially the tamatar chaat and thandai, was a nice discovery. Nothing majorly wrong with the trip, just wish the itinerary had a bit more breathing room between destinations. Decent trip for anyone wanting a compact Varanasi experience.
Yes, absolutely. Varanasi and Sarnath are the two most iconic places in india if you want to know the roots of spiritual India. Every corner of Varanasi represents timeless traditions and rituals and Sarnath is the origin point of the ideologies of lord Buddha.
For general temple visits, you should cover your shoulder and knees and wear dhoti/ kurta or saree, salwar. Both are religious places, dressing modestly will be fine.
