You will then visit Aundha Nagnath, another sacred Jyotirlinga temple that was damaged by Aurangzeb. However it was rebuilt later and it still stands today as one of the 12 sacred Jyotirlingas.
Your tour continues to the Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga, near the famous Ellora Caves, where many travelers love its excellent architecture. Finally, the journey takes you to Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga, from where the holy Godavari River flows naturally. People believe that water comes directly from the Shiva lingam itself. Did this trip with my wife right after retirement, something we had planned for years. Bhimashankar was the toughest part honestly, the climb tired us out but the temple atmosphere made it worth it. Ahmednagar stay was decent, simple rooms but clean. Loved the stop at Shani Shinganapur, unexpected but driver suggested it and we are glad he did. Parli Vaijnath darshan was peaceful, less crowd than we expected. Food throughout was basic thali style, nothing fancy but filling. Only issue was one night the AC in room wasn't working properly at Parbhani hotel. Aundha Nagnath temple architecture left us speechless. Overall a fulfilling spiritual journey, five days felt just right.
Quick trip, very well organised. What stood out for me was how they packed five temples and Ellora caves in just five days without feeling rushed. Bhimashankar trek in the beginning sets the tone, its a proper forest area, cool weather, good for photography. Parbhani to Aundha Nagnath road was smooth, temple itself quite ancient looking. Aurangabad hotel had good breakfast options. Trimbakeshwar was the last big stop before heading back to Mumbai and it did not disappoint, the carvings there are something else. Slight delay on day three due to traffic near Parbhani town but nothing that ruined the trip.
Went alone, first solo pilgrimage for me. Bhimashankar in the early morning mist was magical, genuinely one of the best mornings I've had. The stay arrangements each night were simple but clean, exactly what you need after long travel days. Grishneshwar and Ellora combined on day four gave a nice mix of spiritual and historical sightseeing. Trimbakeshwar on the final day near Nasik was a fitting end, river ghats nearby added to the calm feeling. Only thing I'd mention is the mobile network was weak around Aundha Nagnath area. Would recommend to anyone wanting a proper five day pilgrimage.
Solo trip and honestly one of my better decisions this year. Started nervous but the whole itinerary was smooth. Grishneshwar temple near Ellora was a highlight, small but so much history around it. Ellora caves visit on same day was a bonus I didn't expect included. Shirdi stay was comfortable, hotel food was actually tasty especially the Maharashtrian thali. Trimbakeshwar was crowded on the day I went, had to wait almost an hour for darshan but the temple itself is stunning. Nasik roads were a bit dusty this season. Would have liked one more day at Shirdi honestly. Still, coming back with a calm mind.

This was a family trip, six of us including two kids. Managing kids on long drives is never easy but the breaks were planned well enough. Shani Shinganapur was an interesting addition since kids got curious about the no-door houses story there. Parli Vaijnath temple visit was calm, not too crowded when we went. Food at Parbhani hotel was average, kids didn't enjoy it much but adults were fine. Aundha Nagnath was a nice quiet stop. By day four everyone was a bit tired from travel but Shirdi gave us the rest we needed. Good package for families overall.
Traveled with my parents for this pilgrimage, mainly because my mother wanted to complete all five Jyotirlingas. Vehicle provided was comfortable enough for the long drives, and there were quite a few long stretches especially between Aurangabad and Shirdi region days. Ellora caves sightseeing was an unplanned delight for us since we didn't expect that much time there. Grishneshwar darshan was quick and organised. Shirdi evening aarti was the most memorable part for my mother, she got emotional there. One complaint, the washroom stop options on day one route were limited. Otherwise a well planned trip for elderly parents.
Mummy papa ke saath gayi thi, dono senior citizen hai to thoda dhyaan rakhna padta hai travel me. Overall bahut acchi trip rahi. Bhimashankar ki chadhai mummy ke liye thodi mushkil thi par unhone manage kar liya. Ahmednagar stay comfortable tha. Parli Vaijnath aur Aundha Nagnath dono jagah wheelchair jaisi facility nahi thi jo thoda problem hui papa ke liye. Baaki sab kuch smooth chala. Shirdi me sai baba ke darshan sabse acche lage humein. Khana bhi decent mila raaste bhar.
Sister sobat ha spiritual break ghetla hota, pan overall experience amhala fakta average vatla. Itinerary madhye Shani Shinganapur side stop hota, te unexpected hota ani visit interesting hoti. Parbhani madhye local food try kela, snacks surprisingly changle hote. Trimbakeshwar ani Nashik sightseeing ekatra cover karne convenient hota, especially Mumbai la return karaychya aadhi. Pan May madhla heat khup jast hota, especially afternoon drives madhye, tyamule quite tiring zala. Rooms comfortable hote, pan kahi divas travel time jast aslyamule proper rest milala nahi. Five-day package madhye khup places cover hot hote, mhanun pace thoda hectic vatla. Overall trip okay hota, pan thoda relaxed schedule ani afternoon travel kami asta tar experience definitely better zala asta.
Hum dono husband-wife ne apni anniversary par ye tour liya tha. Bhimashankar ka route scenic tha, lekin raasta bahut ghumavdar hone ki wajah se mujhe travel mein kaafi discomfort hua. Ahmednagar ka night stay basic tha, sirf ek raat ke liye theek laga, lekin anniversary trip ke hisaab se kuch khaas feel nahi hua. Parli Vaijnath aur Aundha Nagnath dono hi peaceful temples hain, lekin baar-baar travel karne ki wajah se sightseeing enjoy karna thoda mushkil ho gaya. Parbhani mein food, especially puran poli, tasty tha aur wahi trip ka ek achha part laga. Ek din weather bhi kaafi garam tha, jiski wajah se thakan aur badh gayi. Overall itinerary mein travel zyada aur rest ka time kam laga, isliye anniversary par jis relaxed aur memorable experience ki umeed thi, woh nahi mil paya.
We booked this trip for our first anniversary and overall it was a decent experience, although it had a few tiring moments. Five days felt quite short considering how many places we covered. The Ahmednagar to Parbhani drive on the second day was particularly long, and even with a few stops for chai and stretching, it felt a bit exhausting. Aundha Nagnath Temple had a beautiful old-world charm, and Grishneshwar was peaceful and interesting to visit. The nearby Ellora Caves were definitely a highlight and added a lot to the day. The weather was pleasant throughout, with slightly cooler mornings. Overall, we had some lovely moments and enjoyed visiting the temples, but a little more free time and a less travel-heavy schedule would have made our anniversary trip more relaxing.
