Uttarakhand Tour Packages

Uttarakhand is called Devbhoomi, the land of the gods. With our Uttarakhand Tour Packages, you will explore the land that was once walked by some of the greatest saints, sages, thinkers and philosophers. Trek up to Gaumukh Glacier, the starting point of the Ganga River, spend your nights camping under a clear starlit sky, or spend your holidays in luxury resorts close to nature. Wherever you want to go, we have well-planned Uttarakhand trip packages for it, starting from INR 5,060 per person. Trips run from 1 to 13 days and cover Nainital, Mussoorie, Jim Corbett, Haridwar, Rishikesh and the Chardham Yatra, with most departures from Delhi. The right month depends on where you are going. Hill stations suit summer, the Chardham route is best in May to June and September to October, and Auli is the place for winter snow. Along the way you also get to know the culture of Uttarakhand.

Best Time to Visit Uttarakhand

Every season in Uttarakhand has its own charm. March to June and September to November are the best months for most trips. Here is a detailed overview of the best time to visit Uttarakhand.

Peak Tourist Season

Summer: March to June

The plains get hot in these months. Hill stations stay much cooler.

The weather is right for Uttarakhand trips to the hill stations and for adventure activities like a wildlife safari in Jim Corbett or Rajaji National Park. You can also go on the sacred Chardham Yatra. The portals usually open in late April or early May; in 2026 they opened between 19 and 23 April. May and June are also good months to do the Chardham Yatra with your family.

Off Season

Monsoon: July to September

We cannot completely say that it is not a favourable time to travel. You will see heavy downpours, and there is a risk of landslides and floods, but there are still some beautiful monsoon destinations in Uttarakhand. You can visit the Valley of Flowers during the monsoon, when it is in bloom. River rafting is generally closed in the monsoon, and it is not a safe time for the Chardham Yatra.

Autumn and Winter Season

October to February

October and early November have clear skies and are the second good window for the Chardham Yatra before the temples close for winter (tentatively 10 to 13 November in 2026). Those who love snow and can handle the cold can travel from December to February. The temperature drops to zero and below at higher altitudes. Winter is the time to see snowfall at many places, enjoy winter sports like skiing in Auli, go on wildlife safaris and plan a honeymoon in Uttarakhand.

Uttarakhand Travel Tips

  • Offbeat Beauty: We often plan trips to crowded and popular places. This time, try offbeat destinations too. They are less crowded and beautiful. Some of our best picks are Binsar, Munsiyari, Chakrata, Chopta and Sattal for peaceful moments.

  • Licensed Guides: Hire only licensed adventure guides to do your adventure activities safely. Accidents happen when we are careless about safety.

  • Dress Modestly: Respect the traditions and customs. Uttarakhand is known as Devbhoomi and has numerous temples. If you are visiting any temple, dress conservatively. Cover your head, knees and shoulders.

  • Take Permission: Don't take photos and videos of sacred sites without permission.

  • Enough Cash: Keep enough cash, as there are many remote places where you won't find ATMs or strong network for digital payments.

  • What to Pack: Pack weather-specific clothes. Also carry comfortable footwear, as you may have to walk a lot in the hills.

  • Physical Fitness: You need to be physically fit to try trekking and other adventure activities. People with mobility issues have limited options, but they can visit the scenic hill stations and temples and enjoy the local cuisine.

  • Advance Planning: If you are planning your Chardham Yatra, you need to register in advance on the official website, registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in. Registration is compulsory and free.

  • Cleanliness: Protect the serenity and beauty of the mountains. Keep your surroundings clean and don't litter.
