Chini Ka Rauza is a tomb in Agra, India, built in memory of Afzal Khan Shirazi, a famous scholar and poet who was the Grand Vizier (chief advisor) of Emperor Shah Jahan. The tomb was constructed in 1635 and is located near the Yamuna River, creating a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere.

History

Afzal Khan's Place in the Mughal Empire- Afzal Khan was a trusted advisor to the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan and held important roles in his court. He is famous for his passion for art and architecture.

Afzal Khan’s Death and Burial- Afzal Khan passed away in 1639 in Lahore. He was buried in Agra, where you can find his tomb.

Value of the Building's Structure- The tomb was built to face Mecca, following the typical pattern of Islamic architecture.
