The sacred temple is located on Mandhata Island, which is situated at the meeting point of the Kaveri and Narmada Rivers. The island is in the shape of the Hindu 'OM' symbol. On this island, there are many temples, and the actual Jyotirlinga is believed to be in the Mamleshwar temple. To facilitate travelers to have a fast and secure Darshan of Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga, PM Shri Heli Tourism Service was started by the MP Tourism Board, as reported by NDTV.
