If you enjoy birdwatching, you’ll love this place because more than 300 bird species can be seen nearby. Birds like woodpeckers, thrushes, and sometimes even eagles can be seen here. Bhimtal
The town of Bhimtal is named after Bhima, one of the well-known Pandava brothers in the Mahabharata. It is famous for its beautiful lake. Earlier, this aquarium was a restaurant. This lake is surrounded by natural beauty, has lovely views, and is well connected by road. It’s a good place to visit in any season.

How to Reach Kainchi Dham from Delhi?
By Road
Road trip from Delhi to Kainchi Dham takes around 6 to 7 hours and is easiest way to reach there. You can either drive yourself or take taxi. You can also travel from Delhi to Haldwani by bus or train then take a taxi from Haldwani to Kainchi Dham.
By Train
If you’re traveling by train, Kathgodam is the nearest station. Trains like the Ranikhet Express or Uttar Sampark Kranti Express take about 6 hours from Delhi to Kathgodam. From there Kainchi Dham is 43 km away. You can easily find taxis or shared cabs outside the station. Road to Kainchi Dham is good and has lovely views of hills and forests.
By Flight
If you want to travel by flight nearest airport to Kainchi Dham is Pantnagar Airport, around 70 km away. It is a small airport with limited flights. From there you can take a taxi or a local bus to reach Kainchi Dham.

Don’t go on Crowded Days
On June 15th, there’s a Bhandara, and thousands of devotees come. It’s better to skip that day unless you’re okay with big crowds.

You’ll find only a few ATMs around, and they don’t always work. Many shops won’t take a card or UPI, so make sure you have some cash with you.
