Perhaps the most popular route in India, you'll visit the three famous sites of India's northwest—Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur-known as the Golden Triangle. You'll travel by road or train over the course of six days, exploring each city's cultural and historical heritage.
The Golden Triangle is best visited between October and mid-April, when temperatures range from 22 to 32°C. Due to a Himalayan influence, Delhi can experience freezing spells in January and February, while May and June can reach 45°C.
The Golden Triangle is so named because of the triangular shape formed by the locations of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan on a map. The trips usually start in Delhi and move south to the site of the Taj Mahal at Agra, then west, to the desert landscapes of Rajasthan.
Goa is a paradise with turquoise water, soft white sand beaches, and a constantly changing sky colour. It is one of the best beach destinations in the world, with immaculate beaches and a relaxed way of life.
Goan cuisine is characterized by a liberal use of rice, coconuts, fish, kokum, cashews, spices, and vinegar. Fish and rice are the staples, supplemented by meat, beans, and vegetables. A typical mid-morning meal is pez, a rice porridge made with leftover curries and pickles.
