- In the early morning, you’ll be driven to Jankichatti – the starting point of the trek.
- Once you get there, trek to Yamunotri (6 km). You can do that either by foot or take the service of pony/Doli (on a direct payment basis).
- Take a holy dip in the waters of River Yamuna. This is especially auspicious during Yamuna Pushkar.
- At Surya Kund, cook rice in the hot spring and take this home as Prasadam.
- At Divya Shila, offer your prayers and seek blessings of Mata Yamuna.
- Once you reach the Yamunotri temple, complete your Darshan and Poojan. Goddess Yamuna is believed to be daughter of Lord Surya and sister of Yamraj.
- Trek back to Jankichatti.
- After this, you’ll be driven back to Barkot for an overnight stay.
