16 Days South India Wildlife Tour Package

Your South India wildlife tour will commence upon your arrival in Delhi. On reaching our representative will greet you at the point of arrival and will get you checked in to your hotel. The remainder of the day will be for you to relax and spend it in leisure followed by an overnight stay in Delhi.

Delhi is a fantastic place for tourists with numerous options to indulge in and explore. After having your breakfast in the morning you can choose to either spend half your day in leisure and head out for some shopping in the evening or you can go on a full day of Delhi Darshan. This will include visits to places like – Chandni Chowk Food Trail, Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Qutub Minar, Shopping in Janpath, lotus temple, and others. It can be customized according to the places that you would like to visit. By evening you will be brought back to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

After having your breakfast in the morning you will be checked out of your hotel in Delhi and headed for the airport to board a flight to Bangalore, the first destination in your south India wildlife exploration. The flight journey will be about 2.5 to 3 hours. On reaching Bangalore our tour representative will get you checked in to your hotel to freshen up for a bit. After that, you will be taken for a brief excursion of Mysore which is 3 hours of road journey away. You will be taken sightseeing to places like – Mysore Palace and Brindavan Garden. Finally, you will be made to head back to your hotel in Bangalore for staying the night.

Post breakfast in the morning you will be checked out of your hotel and transferred to your next destination of Nagarhole national park which is 80 kms away from Bangalore by road. The national park is well known for preserving a good number of tigers, bison, and elephants. On reaching the national park you will be checked in to your jungle resort. By afternoon you will be taken for a jeep safari inside the national park. During the safari, you will be able to spot and take pictures of animals like leopards, wild dogs, barking deer, Sambar, snakes, and a variety of birds. After a fun-filled day of jeep safari, you will be taken back to your jungle resort for dinner and an overnight stay.

Your full day of activities at Nagarhole national park will begin really early in the morning right after breakfast. It will start off with a wildlife safari including bird screening or even a fun coracle ride on the gorgeous Kabini River that runs through the park. After lunch, you will be taken for an elephant ride or a jeep ride around the forest part of the national park for some more immersive experience and check out some more different species of birds, flora, and fauna. Finally, after a day of adventure, you will be headed back to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Post breakfast in the morning you will be checked out of your hotel and driven to BR hills which is a 5 hours of road journey from the national park. BR hills will be the perfect place for a comfortable and cozy camping experience. On arrival in BR Hills, you will be checked into your tents. After freshening up, if you want to, then you can choose to go on a brief trekking trail and explore the spectacular surroundings in the vicinity of the tents. You will be staying the night in the tent at BR hills along with a bonfire night!

After having your breakfast in the morning you will be taken for a full day and evening of wildlife viewing and bird watching. The sanctuary pans out over an area of 540 kms and boasts of a diverse range of flora and fauna like sloth bear, Deer, Indian Civet, Langur, Indian Pangolin, Antelope, Clawless Otter, Indian porcupine and so much. Finally, after spending a day and night safari in the forest getting to know more about the wilderness of South India you will be headed back to your tents by night time where you will be staying for the night.

After having your breakfast in the morning you will be checked out of your tents and made to head to Bandipur national park which is almost 3 hours away from BR hills by road. Not only is Bandipur one of the most popular national parks in south India but it is also the best-preserved one in India. Upon reaching Bandipur you will be checked in to your jungle resort. On checking in you will be given the opportunity to relax for a bit, freshen up, and a lunch meal. By evening a jeep safari will take place where you will be taken for a brief sightseeing of the national park. This will give you some idea about the kind of wildlife and the environment you should be expecting. Finally, you will be headed back to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

The key to getting the best bird viewing opportunity is early in the morning. Right after breakfast early in the morning, you will be headed for a morning bird viewing session. You will also be then made to check out the interesting wildlife species that have found their home here like Indian rock python, muggers, tigers, Gray Langurs, chital, and a massive variety of birds. After a wholesome day of checking out some of the pristine and elite collections of wildlife, you will be made to head back to your resort in the national park. There you will be staying for the night.

After breakfast in the morning, you will be headed to your next destination of Ooty or the queen of hills by road. Ooty needs no introduction as it is extremely famous for being one of the most popular hill stations in south India. On reaching Ooty you will be checked in to your hotel here. Post-check-in you have the option of either going out and checking out some local places and sightseeing options on your own or just stay at the hotel and spend it in leisure. For the remainder of the night, you will be served dinner and stay the night.

Today will be a long journey which will begin early in the morning from Ooty. After having your breakfast at your hotel in Ooty you will be made to check out of your hotel and made to head on to Eravikulam National Park which is about 7 hours of road trip away. En route, you will be stopping over at Munnar which is just a couple of minutes away from Eravikulam national park. Since you will be traveling the whole day on reaching the national park you will be immediately checked in to your resort and the rest of the day will be free for you to spend in leisure or go on a relaxing nature walk about the park. You will be staying over for the night in Eravikulam.

Your jeep safari to Eravikulam will begin early in the morning after breakfast with a fun-filled jeep safari ride. Did you know that Eravikulam is the only place in India that is home to the rare mountain goat of India which is also known as Nilgiri Tahr? Some interesting wildlife species that you will spot here are – Tiger, Leopard, Bison, Golden Jackal, a range of birds like white-bellied Shortwing, Flycatcher, Nilgiri Pipit and so much more. By afternoon and post lunchtime you will be driven to the next destination of Periyar National Park which is about 4 hours of road journey away. On reaching Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary you will be checked in to your resort for an overnight stay.

After having your breakfast in the morning you will be taken for a full day of safari of the sanctuary. You will be taken for a boat cruise inside the sanctuary which is a very rare experience in Indian national parks. You will then be taken for a full day of jungle jeep safari tour where you will be able to spot interesting wildlife animals like – Elephant, Sambar Deer, Tiger, Lion-tailed macaque, and over 300 different types of aquatic and Birds collection. Finally, after a full day of fun and exploration, you will be headed back to your resort in the national park for an overnight stay.

After having your breakfast in the morning your final leg of the south India wildlife exploration will begin which will take you to Kumarakom and it is about 4 hours of road journey away. After reaching you will be immediately checked in to your hotel in Kumarakom where you will freshen up and choose to spend the rest of the day according to your liking. You can either go for some lazy sightseeing of the park and spend time in nature or you can even just relax your time away in the resort and get ready for the next day. You will be staying the night in Kumarakom along with a delicious dinner meal.

After having your breakfast in the morning you will be headed out for a full day of fun-packed activities. You will be firstly taken for a refreshing backwater cruising experience all along the coconut groves and paddy fields. You will also be made to check out the ethnic and local villages where you can get a glimpse into their lifestyle. The USP of this wildlife sanctuary is the birds! It is a heaven for bird watchers where you can spot birds like cuckoo, owl, egret, teal, larks, wood beetle, heron, parrots and so much more. You will also spot birds that you may not have seen before. Finally, head back to the resort for a delicious dinner followed by an overnight stay.

After having your breakfast in the morning you will be checked out of your hotel and made to head on to Kochi which is about 1 to 1.5 hours away from the sanctuary. On itching Kochi, you will be dropped off at your point of departure from where you shall be headed on to your home destination.
