Day 01: Arrival in Colombo – Kandy
Upon arriving at the Colombo international airport our tour representative will escort you to the vehicle that will transfer you to Kandy after covering a distance of 3 hours.
En route you will be made to stop at Pinnawala elephant orphanage which will be your very first location for visit. It is home to orphaned, injured and abandoned elephants where the volunteers and caretakers take care of them. You will be given an opportunity to play around and bathe with these gentle giants.
Your journey will then continue towards the wonderful destination of Kandy, which is at a distance of 1 hour 30 minutes from the elephant orphanage. Upon arriving at Kandy you will be taken on a citywide sightseeing tour which will cover the following sites: Sri Dalada Maligawa (temple of the tooth) – an iconic temple which houses Lord Buddha’s tooth relic; royal botanical gardens Peradeniya – an exuberant presentation of numerous colorful flowers and plants; gem museum – home to the finest quality of precious and semi-precious gemstones in the world.
In the evening you will be made to witness a traditional Sri Lankan cultural dance show (entry fees will not be included). After a wholesome day you will be taken to your hotel in Kandy for an overnight stay.
Day 02: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya
After having a delicious breakfast in the morning, you will be transferred to the ‘city of lights’, Nuwara Eliya. Also known as ‘little England’ a city wide sightseeing tour will commence upon your arrival. You will be covering the following tourist attractions of the city: golf course; trout stream; Victoria park – home to a number of rare birds and lush greenery; Lake Gregory – for fishing and boating; tea factory – which produces some of the world’s finest quality of tea, orange pekoe tea.
You will also be made to visit the holy site of Seetha Amman temple – the site where Sita was held captive by Ravana and where she used to pray for Rama to rescue her, as mentioned in the Hindu epic, Ramayana. It also houses a footprint of Lord Hanuman on a rock; Hakgala garden – a temperate garden with numerous water lilies and peaceful serenity.
Finally, you will be taken to your allotted hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 03: Nuwara Eliya – Colombo
After having a delicious breakfast in the morning you will be transferred to Colombo (the largest city and the commercial capital of Sri Lanka) which is situated at a distance of 5 hours from Nuwara Eliya.
The sightseeing tour of this western coastal city of Sri Lanka will cover the following attractions: Galle face green – a 500 metres long ocean side urban park; Viharamahadevi Park – oldest and the largest public park; National Museum – the largest museum in Sri Lanka; Colombo world trade centre – 500 feet tall, 39 storied twin building; old parliament building and independence square (the entry fees to these places will not be included by us).
You will then be taken to some of the prime shopping locations of Odel, house of fashion, Beverley Street, majestic city and Noritake.
Finally, after a day filled with exciting fun activities, you will be made to head back to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 04: Colombo Departure
Post breakfast, you will be made to proceed towards the international airport where you will be made to board the flight heading towards your desired destination.
