Itinerary - North South India Tour
Day 1 :Delhi Arrival
Welcome in India! On Arrival at Delhi International Airport, Namaste India Trip Representative will greet and meet you and transfer you to Hotel. Check into Hotel. Evening time is free for you to explore Delhi Haat. Later back to hotel and Overnight stay at Delhi.
Delhi: Delhi takes pride in being the capital of the country for many dynasties. A vibrant melting pot, it encapsulates two very different worlds, the ‘old’ and the ‘new’, each representing delectably different experiences. It is sprinkled with glittering gems like: captivating ancient monuments, magnificent museums, a vivacious performing-arts scene and some of the subcontinent’s yummiest places to eat. Delhi blends within its folds the great cultural variety of India with many attraction including Red Fort, The Qutub Minar, The Humayun’s Tomb, The India Gate, The Lotus Temple, The Akshardham Temple.
Chandni Chowk, Delhi Haat, Janpath market, Connaught Place, Khan market are top markets in Delhi which is a treasure trove of goods waiting to be discovered.
Day 2 :Delhi City Tour/ Varanasi By Train
Today after having a hearty breakfast, we are fully packed to explore the old and n new Delhi including Red Fort, the Jama Masjid and the Humayun Tomb. Along the streets of old Delhi you will see the Raj Ghat and Mahatma Gandhi Memorial. Return to your hotel in the evening. Later we will transfer you to railway station to catch your train towards Varanasi. Overnight Journey.
Day 3 :Arrive Varanasi
Arrive Varanasi. Met on arrival at Varanasi railway station and transfer to Hotel (standard check in time at the hotel is 1200 hrs noon). Afternoon sightseeing tour of Varanasi visiting bathing ghats, The Kashi Vishwanath Temple, The Durgakund, The Sankat mochan — Shrine of Monkey God Hanuman. Overnight in Varanasi.
Day 4 :Varanasi – Khajuraho
Today Morning after breakfast we will move towards Khajuraho by road. On arrival in Khajuraho, check-into Hotel. Evening free to enjoy light and sound show. Overnight in Khajuraho.
Khajuraho: Khajuraho, the temple city of central India, is famous Khajuraho Temple, Khajuraho Tourism Throughout the world for its exquisitely carved temples in stones. Thousands of visitors and tourists from all over the world flock together to envisage this immortal saga of Hindu art and culture engraved in stone by shilpies (stone craftsmen) millennia ago. Today, apart from the temples, Khajuraho is a small village but a thousand years ago it was a large city of the Chandelas, medieval Rajput kings who ruled over Central India.
Day 5 :Khajuraho – Jhansi – Agra (180 kms/04 hrs)
Today after Breakfast visit Khajuraho including eastern and western group of temples. Afternoon transfer to Jhansi railway station for Agra. On arrival in Agra, transferred to the hotel. Overnight in Agra.
Day 6 :In Agra
Today after breakfast visit Agra including “The Taj Mahal” and the “Red Fort”. Overnight stay in Agra.
Day 7 :Agra – Jaipur (250 kms /05 hrs)
Today morning after breakfast visit The Taj Mahal and later drive to Jaipur. Enroute visit Citadel Mughal Emperor Akbar’s Fatehpur Sikri. Check into your hotel on arrival at Jaipur. Evening free for leisure. Later we will move for dinner at “Chokhi Dhani” which is famous for Rajasthani Cuisne. Overnight in Jaipur.
Jaipur: Apart from being the capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur is also the largest city of the state. The foundation of the city dates back to the eighteenth century, with credit to the great warrior and astronomer Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. The glorious past of Jaipur comes alive in the palaces and forts in the city where once lived the royal clans. The majestic forts and havelis, the beautiful temples, the serene landscapes, and the rich cultural heritage, have made Jaipur an ideal destination for tourists.
Day 8 :In Jaipur
Morning after breakfast; enjoy visiting Amber Fort with an elephant ride there. Later on enjoy sightseeing city tour of Jaipur. Visit City Palace Museum, Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal, Jal Mahal. Evening free for shopping local handicraft. Overnight stay at Jaipur.
Day 9 :Jaipur – Udaipur
Today Morning, after breakfast we will transfer for Udaipur. On arrival, a warm greeting awaits you at the hotel check into the hotel. Evening you can enjoy boat ride on the beautiful Lake Pichola. Overnight stay is at hotel in Udaipur.
Udaipur is a lovely blend of water, lush green hills that set fire and passion in poet. Its palaces are straight out of a fairy-tale book, lakes, forts, palaces, temples, gardens, mountains and narrow lanes lines withdrawn with stalls, relives the reminisces of a heroic past, valor and chivalry. Their reflection in the placid waters of the Lake Pichola is excitement that defines imagination. Udaipur is one of the most romantic cities of world, also known as the Venice of East.
Day 10 :Udaipur Local Sightseeing
Morning, at leisure. After breakfast, visit the romantic city of Udaipur. Visit the City Palace which is the largest palace complex in Rajasthan; Jagdish temple, a fine Indo Aryan temple built in 1651; Sahelion ki Bari or Garden of the Maids of Honour, which is a small garden with its fountains, kiosks, marble elephants & lotus pool. Evening, boat ride on Lake Pichola. Overnight stay at Udaipur.
Day 11 :Udaipur – Mumbai
Today after breakfast we will move towards Mumbai. On arrival at Mumbai, check into hotel. Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay at Mumbai.
Mumbai: Mumbai undeniably is the business capital of India and one of the major port cities in the country. Mumbai has a diverse nature and multi-cultural lifestyle. The culture here is a fine amalgamation of festivities, religions, music, food, music and theatres. Mumbai is said to have most active nightlife in comparison to other cities. This city celebrates the festivals of every religion with grandeur and fervour. The popular festivals celebrated in Mumbai are Diwali, Holi, Eid, Christmas, Navratri, Good Friday, Dussehra, Muharram, Ganesh Chaturthi, Durga Puja and Maha Shivratri. Fairs and fests add on to the glitter of the city; Kala Ghoda Arts Festival is an exhibition that displays works of various renowned artists in the fields of music, dance, theatre, and films. Also, Bandra fair is an annual fair that begins on the next Sunday after September 8 each year. This festival commemorates the nativity of Mother Mary on September 8.
Day 12 :Mumbai City Tour
This morning take a full-Day sightseeing tour of Mumbai city, rich blend of East and West. The tour includes visits to 26 meters high British-built Arch “Gateway of India”, Mumbai’s landmark built to honour the visit of George V and Queen Mary in 1911. Marine Drive dubbed, as the Queen’s Necklace is Mumbai’s most popular promenades and a favorite sunset watching spot. The Kamla Nehru Park from where you have a picturesque view of the city, Hanging Gardens are so named since they are located on top of a series of tanks that supply water to Mumbai. Pass by the `towers of silence’ the crematorium of the Parsis. Also visit Mani Bhawan a private house where Mahatma Gandhi used to stay when he visited Mumbai. It is now a museum and research library with 20,000 volumes. Overnight stay at Mumbai.
Day 13 :Mumbai – Goa
Today Morning after breakfast take a flight for Goa. On arrival at Goa, transfer Hotel. Evening free to explore the local market. Overnight stay at Goa.
Goa: Known as the Pearl of the East, Goa is the most favorite places of the international tourists, coming from all across the world. With magnificent scenic beauty of the nature and architectural grandeur of the churches, temples, and old houses have contributed much to make Goa a paradise for the tourists. One may visit beaches like Anjuna, Bambolim, Candolim, Dona Paula, Morjim in north Goa or the Benaulim, Colva, Majorda, Palolem, Varca beaches in south Goa. There are several wildlife sanctuaries like the Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary, and the Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary or few museums like the Goa state museum, naval aviation museum, archaeological museum and portrait gallery, etc which draw the attention of visitors.
Day 14 :North /South Goa City Tour
Today After breakfast visit North Goa sightseeing covering Mapusa City, Vagator Beach, Anjuna Beach, Calangute Beach, Fort Aguada and South Goa sightseeing covering (Dona Paula, Miramar Beach, and Old Goa Churches – Bom Jesus Basilica, Mangeshi Temple, Colva Beach, and Enjoy boat cruise on river Mondovi) Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 15 :Goa – Bangalore
After breakfast, transfer to Airport to board your flight for Bangalore “South India’s garden city”. On arrival at Bangalore, check into hotel and later visit Tippu’s palace, Bull Temple, Lalbaug, Ulsoor Lake, overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 16 :Bangalore – Mysore (145kms/3hrs)
Morning proceed for Mysore enroute visit Channapatna Toys Centre, Srirangapatna, Ranganathaswamy Temple, Tippu’s Palace, Fort, Gumbaz, Tippu’s Summer Palace. Visit Illuminated Brindavan Gardens and Krishnarajasagar Dam in the Evening. Night stay at Mysore.
Day 17 :Mysore – Ooty (130 Kms/3.5hrs)
Morning proceed for st. Philomena’s Church, Chamundi Hill, Bull, Zoo, Maharaja’s Palace, Art Gallery, later drive to Ooty, enroute visit Bandipur Wild Life Sanctuary, Pykara Dam, Kamaraj Sagar, Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 18 :In Ooty
Morning enjoy a tour of the ‘Queen of the Blue Mountains’, that includes a visit to Doddabetta Peak for a spectacular view. Later drive to Coonoor and visit Sims Park and Dolphin nose point. In the afternoon, visit the Botanical garden and the popular Ooty Lake, enjoy Boat ride (on direct payment basis). The evening is at leisure on your own, Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 19 :Ooty – Cochin (300 kms/06 hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Cochin by road. On your arrival in Cochin, check-into the hotel. Evening free for leisure. Overnight in Cochin.
Day 20 :In Cochin
Today after Breakfast visit the tourist places of Cochin. Here you can see the St Francis Church, the oldest Church in India, 500 year old Portuguese Houses, and Cantilevered Chinese fishing nets, 16th century Synagogue, Jew Town and Mattancherry Palace, built by Portuguese. Evening go for shopping over night at the Hotel.
Day 21 :Cochin-Chennai
Today After breakfast, we will transfer you to Airport to board flight for Chennai. On arrival in Chennai, we will transfer you to the hotel. Overnight in Chennai.
Chennai: Chennai, the capital city of Tamil Nadu, is located at the North east of the state. Apart from being a major district, this metropolis also serves as the gateway of South India. General information about Chennai reveals that of late, the city of Chennai has developed as one of the cosmopolitan cities in India that plays an important part in the cultural, intellectual and historical growth of India.
Day 22 :In Chennai
Today after Breakfast go for full day sightseeing tour of Mahabalipuram and Kanchipuram, well known for their rock hewn temples, sculptures and the world’s largest stone bas relief. The fantastic Shore Temples are among the most talked about and most photographed monuments in the country. Back to Chennai. Overnight stay at Chennai
Day 23 :Depart Chennai
Today after Breakfast we will transfer you to airport to board your onwards flight. And tour ends with happy memories.
