The pilgrimage to Amarnath Holy Cave was a lifelong dream for our family. Taking the trek from Baltal was tough due to steep climbs, but the divine atmosphere made us forget all exhaustion. Gulmarg gondola ride on Day 5 offered spectacular views of snow peaks. The long road drive from Srinagar to Katra took nearly eleven hours due to security checkposts, which was a bit tiring, but our Vaishno Devi bhawan darshan went off smoothly.
