There are various benefits of booking a package, such as:
Hyderabad has many daily flights and trains to Delhi, and a direct flight to Dehradun, which is the gateway to the Chardhams. A package starts your road journey from there, so you don’t have to plan each leg yourself.
With a package, you get a travel plan designed by experts. You don’t have to worry about hotel bookings at multiple places either. You also get darshan assistance and transfer assistance, and we can guide you on booking the Kedarnath helicopter if you need it. It’s a good fit for those who want a stress-free trip.
Many tour operators also offer you tour guides or group leaders, who keep you updated about routes and share information about local culture. You’ll also be escorted by an experienced hill driver throughout the journey. All this is highly useful at the high altitudes of Uttarakhand.
Packaged tours reduce stress and fatigue. Some plans also offer senior-friendly itineraries and a gentle pace, which also helps families travelling with kids. See our Chardham Yatra for senior citizens page for slower itineraries.

There are a few ways to reach the Char Dham. Here’s the travel guide:
Hyderabad to Char Dham by flight and road is the fastest option. From Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (Hyderabad), there are many daily flights to Delhi (about 2 hours 15 minutes), where this package starts.
There is also usually one direct flight a day to Jolly Grant Airport (Dehradun), taking about 2 hours 25 minutes. From Dehradun, you can take a bus or hire a taxi to Haridwar or Rishikesh. On request, we can start your yatra from Dehradun instead of Delhi.
You can also do the Char Dham Yatra by train. There is no regular direct train from Hyderabad or Secunderabad to Haridwar, so most pilgrims take a train to Delhi first and then continue by train or road to Haridwar. The full train journey to Haridwar takes around 27-28 hours with the change. Check the IRCTC website for latest schedules.
If you want to travel by road, you can drive to Delhi from Hyderabad (about 1,560 km on NH44). It will take around 26-30 hours to complete the journey. From Delhi, you can take a bus or hire a cab to Haridwar (about 220 km). From there, you can continue your Chardham journey.
The cost of our Char Dham Yatra package from Hyderabad is INR 43,900 per person on twin sharing, plus 5% GST. In this tour plan, we offer you accommodation, food, and dedicated transport services with a professional driver from Delhi to Delhi.
On top of that, you get a customisable itinerary with which you can increase/reduce your trip duration, include more sightseeing, and even choose your private vehicle through our transport services. A flight-inclusive quote is also available on request.
The trekking is required only at Yamunotri and Kedarnath. Gangotri and Badrinath are well-accessible by motorable roads.

Here are some accommodation options at the Chardhams:
There are no hotels or lodges right at the Yamunotri Temple premises. Most pilgrims stay at Janki Chatti or Barkot, as these are the best bets for hotels in Yamunotri.
There are a limited number of hotels in Gangotri. However, you can still find budget-friendly options as well as some 3-star hotels here. You can get lodges with better amenities at Harsil (about 25 km before Gangotri).
You’ll find very basic hotels in Kedarnath. You can get better quality accommodations in nearby towns such as Guptkashi and Sonprayag.
Hotels in Badrinath are the best among all four Dhams. You get better facilities and lodges for all budgets.
The best time for Chardham Yatra is during May-June and mid-September to October.
In these months, the weather is pleasant and the roads are generally open. Pre-monsoon showers can start from mid-June, and May-June is the busiest period because of school holidays.
You should avoid planning your visit in the monsoon (July to mid-September) when landslides and heavy rains are common. In some years, rain continues into late September, so check the forecast before you travel. During this time, the roads may be blocked, making travelling very difficult.
During winter, the Chardham shrines remain closed due to heavy snowfall and extreme weather conditions. The Chardham Yatra is halted during this period, and the idols are shifted to their winter seats.
