Settled on Trikuta Hills at an altitude of 5200ft Mata Vaishno Devi Temple is the most visited pilgrimage of Hindus. The shrine is situated in a holy cave on the Shivalik Mountain Range where pilgrims can do the philosophy of Mata Vaishno throughout the year. This pilgrimage is a perfect combination of holy atmosphere accompanied with natural beauty where one can enjoy well.
The pilgrimage is based on the Darshans of three Pindies i.e. Maha Kali, Maha Lakshmi and Maha Saraswati but there are some other places also where one can do the philosophy and get the blessings for their prosperity. Pilgrims can avail the facilities of Mule and Pony rides if they are not well health. Vaishno Devi Yatra by Helicopter Tour Itinerary
Day 1 :Jammu - Sanji Chatti - Vaishno Devi
Jammu airport is the starting and concluding point of the yatra. Upon arrival at the airport, early in the morning, you will be greeted by our tour representative. After the security clearance, you will be taken to the waiting lounge. The passengers will then be transferred to the helicopter that will fly them to the Sanji Chatt Helipad, which is the helipad designated for Vaishno Devi Yatra.
On arriving at Sanjichat a guide will take you to the Bhawan by walking which will take about half an hour to cover and is 2.5 kms away from the helipad. There are Palki/Doli and even the newly introduced ropeway services also available to cover the distance if the passengers do not wish to walk the route.
Vaishno Devi is a very powerful and important Shaktipeeth that does not contain any pictures or idols of the goddess since the entire cave is very holy and worshipped by Devi worshippers.
After offering Darshan every passenger will be guided back to the Sanji Chatt Helipad from where they will be taking the helicopter back to Jammu airport. On reaching back to the Jammu airport, the passengers will be taken to the airport waiting for a lounge that will be marking the end of the one-day Vaishno Devi Yatra by Helicopter.
The passengers will then be free to head on to the destination of their choice. This will be marking the end of the Vaishno Devi Helicopter Yatra Package.
