Itinerary - Leh Ladakh Tour Package
Day 1 :Arrival in Leh
Upon your arrival in Leh you will be greeted by our tour manager at your point of arrival. You will be assisted at your hotel for checking in. After freshening up you will begin the day 1 of sightseeing tour in Ladakh.
It will start off by a visit to the oldest surviving and the largest monastery in Ladakh which is the Diskit Gompa. Next place will be the Shanti Stupa, which is famous for housing a large white dome on top along with displaying various Buddhist relics. The Leh palace will be the final place to visit on the first day of the sightseeing tour. The palace is also known as Lhachen Palkhar and it was constructed in the 17th century. You can learn more about Ladakh at the Leh palace since it contains a museum as well.
The day will end by you getting back to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2 :Excursion to Sham valley
Post breakfast you will be made to head for a full day of sightseeing excursion in Sham valley. This excursion will start off with a visit to the Gurudwara Pathar Sahib. This place is a very important place of Sikh worship and is named after a rock that resembles the back of Guru Nanak Ji. The next stop will be the famous magnetic hills. The main feature of this hill is the fact that the cars don’t go downwards on the slope but it goes upwards. This will probably be one of the most interesting parts of the glimpses of Ladakh tour package.
Next stop in the excursion will be the confluence of the rivers Zanskar and Indus. The mingling of both the rivers is a sight to behold! The visit will be followed by an exploration of Alchi Gompa - a monastery that is known for its interesting architecture and it is also home to the oldest Buddhist temple.
The day will end by heading back to the hotel in Leh for dinner followed by an overnight stay.
Day 3 :Excursion to Pangong Tso
Early in the morning your day excursion of Pangong Tso will take place, after breakfast. Pangong Tso is the world’s highest salt water lake and is surrounded by barren hills of various shades of brown while the stunning blue lake offers a stark contrast to its surroundings. Other than its obvious natural beauty, the lake is also known for being situated on the Indo-China border which is an extremely sensitive region. After spending the day there you will be taken back to your hotel in Ladakh for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4 :Excursion to Khardung La
Post breakfast you will be headed out for a full day of excursion to Khardung La which is also known for being the highest motorable pass in the world. It is also the gateway to Nubra Valley and Shayok Valley. The pass is located at a distance of 40 kms from Leh and at an elevation of over 5,000 metres above sea level. Finally you will be headed back to your hotel in Ladakh for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5 :Leh Departure
After checking out the hotel in Leh and post breakfast you will be taken to your place of departure in Leh. The drop off at the departure point will mark the end of your glimpses of Ladakh tour with us.
