Amarnath Yatra 2026 runs from July 3 to August 28 — a 56-day season confirmed by the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB). Helicopter slots fill fast once booking opens in May-June. Register at jksasb.nic.in early and book your package in advance.

Amarnath Helicopter Ticket Fare 2026 (SASB Fixed Rates)

The helicopter charges below are fixed by SASB and are included in our package price:

No helicopter service is available from Panjtarni directly to the Amarnath cave. From Panjtarni, pilgrims cover the remaining 6 km on foot or by pony/palki. Book helicopter tickets at jksasb.nic.in or through us.

About Amarnath Cave & Yatra 2026

The Amarnath Cave is a natural limestone cave at 3,888 metres (12,756 ft) in Anantnag district, Jammu & Kashmir — approximately 141 km from Srinagar. A naturally-forming ice Shivling appears inside the cave each year, growing and shrinking with the lunar cycle. Alongside it are two smaller ice formations representing Mata Parvati and Lord Ganesha.

The cave is accessible via two routes: Baltal (helicopter to Panjtarni + 6 km trek) or Pahalgam (46 km traditional trek or helicopter to Panjtarni + 6 km trek). Both routes end at Panjtarni — the helicopter's final landing point.

Amarnath Yatra Registration 2026

Registration is mandatory for every pilgrim including helicopter Yatra. Without valid registration, no one is permitted at any helipad or base camp checkpoint. Three types are available:

• Individual registration: For solo travellers or groups of fewer than 10 persons
• Group registration: For groups of 10 or more persons
• NRI registration: For non-resident Indians travelling from abroad

Register at jksasb.nic.in or at designated bank branches — Punjab National Bank, SBI, J&K Bank, Yes Bank. Fee: Rs. 150 per person.

Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC): Every pilgrim must obtain a CHC from an SASB-authorized government doctor confirming fitness for the high-altitude Yatra. Helipads check CHC before boarding. Our team provides complete guidance for both registration and CHC as part of your booking.
