By Train

You won't find a direct way to reach Kedarnath from Haridwar. Rishikesh is the nearest railway station to Kedarnath Dham. Rishikesh railway station is located around 216 kilometers from Kedarnath. Once you have reached the nearest station to Kedarnath, you can hire a taxi or bus to reach Gaurikund. From Gaurikund, you'll have to trek to reach the temple.

By Bus

Many bus service operators run buses from Rishikesh and Haridwar to Sonprayag. Sonprayag is considered to be the last bus stop to Kedarnath. By car, you will be transferred from Sonprayag to Gaurikund via a private vehicle.
