Best Time to Visit Chardhams
Summer (April - July)
This is the best time to undertake the Chardham Yatra as the weather is pleasant, with average temperatures ranging from 15-20 degrees Celsius. However, since this is the peak season, the shrines are overcrowded.
Winter (October - March)
This is one of the worst times to visit the Chardham sites owing to the freezing and harsh winters. The temperature during these months can drop to as low as -7 degrees Celsius. Because of the harsh weather conditions, the roads are closed during this season.
Monsoon (July - September)
Monsoon is not a good time to visit Chardham sites owing to the chances of frequent landslides, cloudbursts, and torrential rainfall. However, during this time, the Chardham sites are dotted with lush greenery, allowing you to enjoy breathtaking views.
